Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal data — written in plain language so you can actually read it.
1. Who we are
FitVantage (“FitVantage,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website at fitvantage.io and is building an AI wellness app launching first in the United Arab Emirates. We are the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this policy.
For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@fitvantage.io.
What this policy covers today. Right now, fitvantage.io is a marketing and waitlist site. The only personal data we collect is what you choose to give us through our waitlist and contact forms. When the FitVantage app launches, it will collect additional information — including health and wellness data — and we will publish a fuller, app-specific privacy policy and ask for your consent before collecting it.
2. What data we collect
Information you give us when you join the waitlist or contact us:
- Your email address
- Which audience you identify with (consumer, operator, or coach)
- Your city (if you provide it)
- For businesses and coaches: business or studio name, type, and your area of specialty
- Any message or details you choose to include
Information collected automatically when you visit the site:
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider — your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, referring URL, and a timestamp. This happens on most websites and is used for security and to keep the site running.
What we do not collect today:
- No payment or card details
- No health, fitness, nutrition, or biometric data
- No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies
3. Why we use your data and our legal basis
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021) and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, we rely on the following grounds:
- To add you to the waitlist and tell you when we launch — based on your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- To respond to your enquiry — because you asked us to, and to take steps at your request.
- To keep the site secure and working — based on our legitimate interest in protecting and operating the service.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. How your data is stored and who processes it
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to run the site and handle form submissions. They process data on our behalf, under their own security measures and contractual commitments, and only as needed to provide their service. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
- Website hosting — our hosting provider runs the site and keeps the standard server logs described above.
- Form and waitlist collection — submissions from the waitlist and contact forms are delivered to and stored by a third-party forms service.
- Web fonts — the site loads fonts from a third-party font service so it displays correctly, which means your browser contacts that service to fetch them.
Some of these providers are based outside the UAE, so your data may be transferred and stored abroad — see “International data transfers” below.
5. International data transfers
Some of the providers we use are based outside the UAE, so some of your personal data may be transferred to and stored in other countries. Where the UAE PDPL requires it, such transfers are covered by those providers’ contractual data-protection commitments and your consent to use the service. We take reasonable steps to ensure your data stays protected wherever it is processed.
6. How long we keep it
- Waitlist emails — until we launch and you decide whether to create an account, or until you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first.
- Contact enquiries — up to 12 months after we’ve handled your request, then deleted unless you’ve joined the waitlist.
- Server logs — kept for a short period by our host (typically 30–90 days) for security and troubleshooting.
7. Your rights
Under the UAE PDPL and the GDPR (where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct it if it’s wrong or incomplete
- Ask us to delete it
- Object to or ask us to restrict how we use it
- Withdraw your consent at any time
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
To exercise any of these, email privacy@fitvantage.io. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and won’t charge you for a straightforward request. You also have the right to complain to the UAE Data Office if you believe we’ve mishandled your data.
8. Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics, or cross-site tracking. We don’t profile you or build an advertising picture of you. If we add analytics in the future, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
9. Children
FitVantage is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
10. How we protect your data
The site is served over encrypted HTTPS, and we rely on the security measures of our providers. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product grows — especially when the app launches. We’ll change the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll notify people on the waitlist by email. Please check back from time to time.
12. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including the Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021). Any dispute relating to it falls under the jurisdiction of the competent UAE courts.
